No I've had a few minute to digest what you have said there, let me put this to you then.

Firstly -I am an emotive person when it comes to City, idiot you suggested I was ,nah, daft as fuck at times maybe, and been so defensive of everything City for past 30 years

Secondly - Have you ever this season, either being there or watching us on telly, ever said "For fuck sake Sterling !" on one or more occasions ?

If your answer to the second part is no,then I will definitely have a clearer picture of who is blinkered here

Of course I have but I have also said that about every fucking player. The number of times lately I have said FFS De Bruyne over the past few months is scary. I'm not saying Sterling can't be a frustrating player at times but if you cannot say he has improved and had a good season after the number of goals he has been directly involved in, the number of times he is the one to produce a bit of magic to make the breakthrough, the number of times his play and speed has won us (or should have won us) free kicks or penalties after all the shit he went through last year from the dippers and being made the new England national team boo boy then I fully stand by what I said about you.

This season has been a giant improvement and he is only 22 and will continue to get better. We should all be very excited about what's to come from Sterling next season and beyond.

Well that's fine, all about opinions, but I'll repeat what I said in another reply on this thread,I'll live in hope, and more importantly for the rest of this season, not thinking too far ahead of what could be or can be,it is the rest of this season I'm interested in,and so should you be,and for the record, even though you ain't said it to me,I ain't a boo boy towards him

The "young" player tag has to be rid of soon though I'm afraid,he has been playing at the top level for a good few years now,and also gets into the England squad,he's not a kid whose trying to learn his trade these days as much as others at his age,who have not played at the top level for that amount of time

That young player tag will disappear when he will get older. Demanding him to perform on a high level consistently is asking too much of him, that's the level where you can call a player world class and there are not many world class 22-year-olds out there, if any.

Well said, mate.

I think at this moment in time, Sterling would get my vote for Player of the Season. They've all had indifferent spells, but he seems to have been the most consistent.

I love Sané but there's no way he's had a better season or been better than Sterling.
Let's say Sane is having a slightly better spring season, but yeah, he was basically a non-entity from August to November, due to the known reasons. So it's weird but maybe the fact that he is a new flashy boy helps and also that suddenly he just adapted and was rolling. Anyway, Alli should probably win it and it's just silly to include Lukaku, Kane and co. in this young list, but that's an old debate.

Totally agree with this. Sterling has 9 goals and 23 assists for the season so far whereas Sané has 8 goals and 6 assists. The award should surely be about who has been the most effective across the whole season. For all his recent form and promise, Sané has directly contributed towards 14% of our goals this season compared with Sterling's 33%.

Even if the season started with that Arsenal game in mid-December, Sané's 8 goals and 4 assists since then still don't stack up against Sterling's 4 goals and 16 assists in the same period.

I'd actually be fine with Alli winning the PFA Young Player of the Year, but it's ridiculous that Sané gets nominated ahead of Sterling.
