I thought his workmate and attitude and general play were excellent yesterday. However, we had two fast breaks where he had options on either side to put runners in on goal and chose to ignore them. He has still a lot to do to improve and his decision making is probably the most important area.

What I love about both him and Sane is that they never hide when things don't go their way. They continually demand the ball.
Raheem does, to be sure, but I’m not sure that description fits Leroy. I think he has the potential to be world class but he definitely can sulk with the best of them.

I think we'll see him make serious strides in his passing game in the next year or two. He's got the vision to pull off some fantastic passes, but it seems like he lacks the confidence to execute very creative ones, or killer passes on the break sometimes, perhaps even the technique lets him down. But that can all be improved on, and once he's confident in his goalscoring ability, I'm sure Guardiola will turn his development to that part of the game.

Sanchez would be a great player for both Sané and Sterling to learn from in that regard, that part of his game is on a different level to theirs.

Leroy definitely is more likely to become a peripheral figure in the game but sometimes that's team orders. He has to stay wide in the build up to stretch the pitch and if the LB can match him, then the ball just doesn't go out there often. Whereas on the other side, if we're pushing for a goal, Walker can push up and do that job, allowing Sterling to come inside and see more of the ball.
