I agree—I wasn’t referring to the obvious tactical positioning, I was referring to his tendency to sulk and shrink into the shrubs when things aren’t going his way or he is not performing to his level. Or, on rare occasions, his petulance in having a go at anyone within his vicinity (even De Bruyne on a occasion).Leroy definitely is more likely to become a peripheral figure in the game but sometimes that's team orders. He has to stay wide in the build up to stretch the pitch and if the LB can match him, then the ball just doesn't go out there often. Whereas on the other side, if we're pushing for a goal, Walker can push up and do that job, allowing Sterling to come inside and see more of the ball.

It’s intermittent but it is there, and it doesn’t really exist with Raheem.
Is petulance still there in a older / wiser Sergio when he pulls his gloves off and throws them to the floor when substituted recently.I agree—I wasn’t referring to the obvious tactical positioning, I was referring to his tendency to sulk and shrink into the shrubs when things aren’t going his way or he is not performing to his level. I think you'll find, should you have the time and inclination to read through my previous posts (as sad as that would be), that I rate Leroy very highly (and have no qualms with calling out Sergio, one of my footballing heroes, when he exhibits the same behaviour). But petulance is petulance, sulking is sulking, and Leroy has a higher propensity for both than any other player on the squad right now. Let’s not get distracted by whataboutism. Is petulance still there in a older / wiser Sergio when he pulls his gloves off and throws them to the floor when substituted recently.
Or do we because it's Sergio prefer to call it frustration ? Was is frustration when Sane had a go at KDB. The same KDB who had a go at Merlin .....
This team seems to have a strong , special bond where they are able to speak freely to each other and yet no grudges are held......that is a proper team spirit...almost a family . Things are said from time to time but you move on.
This is a special , special group ........Leroy and Raz will have an amazing future in sky blue.
Fair enough :-)I think you'll find, should you have the time and inclination to read through my previous posts (as sad as that would be), that I rate Leroy very highly (and have no qualms with calling out Sergio, one of my footballing heroes, when he exhibits the same behaviour). As someone else pointed out, though, perhaps Raheem had that about him a few years ago, as well, and was able to work so that it almost never occurs now. I am sure Leroy will do the same. He needs to as it is one of the few things holding him back from greatness right now—Raheem being a great example of the benefit of that maturity (and Raheem has had to go through quite a few more trials and tribulations).
