Raheem Sterling has paid for 550 tickets, plus transport, for kids from his old school to go to City vs Brighton in the FA Cup Semi-Final at Wembley on Saturday. [@MailSport]

Raheem Sterling will meet pupils from Ark Elvin Academy in Wembley at Manchester City's training complex on Thursday after they travel north from London. Then on Saturday, they will make the short journey to the stadium for the big match.

Insider at the Ark Elvin Academy: “Raheem wanted to do something for his old school and approached the club. The pupils are going meet him and watch him in action. It the type of guy he is. He hasn't made a fuss and doesn't want attention. It's just a decent thing to do.”

And then take them to Poundland for their tea afterwards:)

Raheem is 12/1 with Sky bet for BBC Sports Personality of the Year for anyone interested. I know it's early but there has been a major change in the way people think about him (outside of City fans), he's on fire on the pitch & if we finish the season strongly & England win the Nations League then Raheem is going to be a Major part of that!

i got him at 16's a few weeks ago after his England Hat Trick

I think it's amazing how the kid suddenly appears to have matured. Not just on the pitch, but off it too.
He must be close for player of the season.,..although the media love in for Van Dyk may prevent that.

How he has handled the racism issues recently is testament as to how strong he is becoming, full credit to him, and To Pep for some incredible man management

Ahh, that's why he's taking all of those kids to Wembley, he's just trying to buy another trophy.

According to the BBC this morning each kid was getting 2 tickets each, is it 225 kids plus 1 extra each or 550 kids at the school plus their 1 extra?

Sterling probably the pick of our midfield / forwards against Brighton which isnt saying a lot , and he is becoming a strong personality in the team and also leading by example , he's showing a lot of maturity for a 24 year old , most players do not peak until 27/28 he is going to become some player under the tutelage of Pep for the next few years.

Poor today by his standards but did a lot of tracking back and won the ball when they were breaking dangerously at times.

He’s allowed an off day.
