Not been at his best the last few games but he understands our patterns of play so well that he's always likely to get on the end of something and even when things aren't coming off for him, he always works hard for the team.

I thought he was good today, though nothing really came off he worked his bollocks off. The chance he had near the end that he took first time he actually struck it to well, had he been slightly off it may well have headed for the corner and not straight to the keeper.

I'm more than happy with a sterling, aguero, Bernardo front 3 with Silva, kdb, in the false 8s.

Sterling is as good on either wing these days and Bernardo is a stand out wherever he plays. I already said right wing is probably sterlings best position and in the middle for Bernardo, but based on this season I would rather have Silva, kdb, sterling, and Bernardo all in the team, and to do that you play sterling on the left and Bernardo on the right. And it has worked much of the second half this season.

The issue I am taking, is that one poster said sterling always disappoints on the left (he hasn't disappointed on the left this season more than anyone else has had the odd off match), and you agreed. I'm not calling you out on sterling and Bernardo having better positions on the pitch, I'm calling you out for agreeing with the incorrect statement of "sterling always disappoints on the left".
Fair enough. Sterling is OK on the left - but he's better on the right. Moreover, we've Sane/Mendi who are better at fulfilling the wicked left-side crosses.

My take on the "disappointing on the left" quote is just this - we've players better able to deliver the type of crosses we need when playing left - and if Sterling is playing left - that means he's not playing right - where we honestly don't have anyone capable of delivering the type of cross that's most effective for our side - sharp, crisp, across the box.

Bernardo and Mahrez can indeed play RW - but, IMO, not nearly as well as Sterling. Bernardo plays better more central and Mahrez just hasn't found form yet IMO (though I really like him as a player).

Raheem is handling himself superbly in the pre match press conference.

He has matured into a very articulate and intelligent man who is not only a wonderful footballer but also as an ambassador for our club.

A message to Danny Murphy......This guy is a proper role model.

His thoughts on whether it would be right to walk off a pitch after racial abuse:

"I wouldn’t personally agree with it, to win the game would hurt them even more they’re only trying to get you down. If you walk off they win, to score or win would be better."

Raheem Sterling on the incidents of racial abuse at the weekend: "I don't think I can make a difference. I can only speak for events that happen to me or people around me. I'm not trying to lead, it's for people in higher places to do their job."

"A lot of people take it as really offensive but my mum always told me I'm a wonderful black child and I know this so I know I'm black and I'm happy and proud in it. I'm confident in my body."

Raheem Sterling on the Danny Rose comments: "I've heard stories of his past and in youth teams, so I think it's something he's come across quite a number of times and it probably is getting too much for him but I respect his comments and it's a shame to hear."

STERLING My mum taught me how to love myself and be comfortable with my skin colour. To try and go out and win. They're only trying to get you down. Walking off the pitch lets them win. Scoring a goal or winning; that beats them.

Raheem Sterling on his current form: "Being in such an amazing team with a great coach and an environment where I'm constantly learning. Having someone that trusts you and always wants you to do better by keeping you on your toes. You're never comfortable."

While I don't remotely accept the way the media try to portray Sterling as having suddenly grown up, I would say he's become far more confident and assertive in how he speaks publicly. He IS a role model and he does have a powerful voice that he's using. It's so impressive.
