It really feels like something has really clicked with him this season.

Last season he was great, but he seems next level now in his all round play. Much calmer and more calculated, like he is now fully in control of everything, whereas before it all felt a bit loose and unpredictable.

His striking of the ball seems better too, maybe just related to him feeling more relaxed and confident? I don't know enough to recognise a technique change.
 
He’s one of the first names on the team sheet for me.

Have to keep him won’t find anyone better for the cost of giving him a few extra grand a week
 
It's a testament I think to the professionalism of the lad that the contract thing hasn't made a difference to his performances. His application is 100% as always and his improvement continues at the same rate as it has from the past 2 years under pep. From potential to big player to too quality star.

Give the man his money IMO.
 
Some stunning passages of play from him today although I thought he only gradually got into the game but once he did, absolutely unmarkable. He has elite level talent that few can match it but it is not on display consistently enough just yet. With KDB out, I was waiting to see if he would assert himself in the squad to lead because it's all there for him to be the superstar driving the team
 
He's taken that step up I think. He's now producing pretty much every game. He's become a go-to player too
 
Him or Bernardo are our best players so far this season.

His movement is superb, couldn't name 5 players better than him in regards to that. He's a lot more relaxed and a lot more confident.

Week in week out he's performing, putting himself in a great position for that payrise.
