An interesting article about Raheem in the local NZ paper. It lists all the crap he has had leveled at him since he left 'pool. The final sentence says "................... it is a wonder he took so long to react in this way".

Not condoning the booing as I don’t think we should ever boo players from our team/country. However surely this is a sign that the regular no dipper fans are actually starting to side with us. A year ago no English fans would have sided with Raheem..

I think it's more to do with Liverpool rather than sterling himself. It's not about taking sides with us.

Outside of that cult there is national dislike for them and the booing was simply a reaction to that.

I suspect it didn’t finish at the final whistle, something else must have happened or words said to get Raheem in such a state.
