Can't see us getting him as cheap as 30 mill but would love it if we did. Think he would be a brilliant asset for us and has the potential to become a top class player

For all of this talk from Liverpool about them keeping Sterling against his will and refusing to sell, they are coming across as pretty desperate.

They were the instigators of Sterlings contract being public knowledge and whilst they are keen to stick to the rhetoric of keeping Suarez against his will, that is overlooking the contract differences.

Sterling can buy out his contract next season and whilst this rarely happens, it would not surprise me with the relationship between his agent and the club. Even if he refused, he could officially talk to clubs and command a far higher signing on bonus.

The whole world knows that Sterling wants out. So they are not in a position to demand Suarezesc money. Also, we are slightly lucky that all of the other clubs linked with him have players of a similar ilk or better players in his position. That means that Arsenal, Madrid and Bayern are unlikely to spend an obscene amount in him.

IMO, a bid of around £30-35 million will be enough to secure him.

Sterling is a decent player who offers something that we really miss and thats his pace and ability to beat a man with the ball in small spaces and also using his pace...navas has the pace but is pretty one dimensional in the way he wants to beat someone whereas sterling has more to his game in that sense.

He will have to learn to defend better (something navas is good at to a certain extent) but Im sure he will pick that up.

The HG quota is also important and as we are losing milner, lampard we have to go for someone HG and the best option again really is sterling (though id also like to see another HG keeper replace Cabellero who i just don't rate)

A decent signing if he does come to us...he will get ripped by the media but thats pretty much par for the course when a player comes to us and he will be targeted by away fans as barry was when he joined us. Any time he gets rotated and is on the bench for what ever reason we will get the same shit thrown at us that we had with other HG players when usually the press completely ignore injuries, fatigue etc .

Is he good enough for us...absolutely. He has a lot to learn but he has it all in front o
