Just made this point on twitter, if we sign Sterling for 45m, and he stays at the club for 10 years and wins us a dozen trophies, will the price tag be an issue?
Let the scousers celebrate getting a good price for one of the most promising youngsters in world football. It's all they get to celebrate these days.
The money not an issue for me - if they spend the money as wisely as they did the Suarez money then they will have not only wasted it, but also their loss of a homegrown player who could go on to become a future superstar would definitely be our gain. If he does develop over the next few years what would RM and other big boys pay for him then - top dollar - just like they did Bale.
