surely we must be gonna get some positive news today on this??

You'd hope so. With Sterling back off his jollies, I'd expect movement on this very soon. I'm sure both clubs have been negotiating in the background - I doubt it's a case of slapping in bids, seeing them rejected, and then not talking for a week until the next bid goes in.

It's a lot mate, but it's what English players cost. As has been said, he's 20, has a lot of appearances for a decent Liverpool side, and was a key player for them when they came close to winning the league.
English players cost a lot: shaw, lallana, carroll etc....

He is young, if he continues developing he will be quality for a number of years and definitely be worth the money!
