He is class. There are not many other players who have been at a high level club and playing in the 1st team from 17. Not only does he play, he influences pretty much every game he plays in.

Just to put it into comparison...Brandon Barker is 18 and half. He's probably one of our top prospects but is currently nowhere near our 1st team.

Takes some talent to have been influencing the play from a young age in this league

It'll take at least £50m, perhaps more for an English rival. Think he'll stay for at least one more season. Doubt we'll take players in exchange.
I told you £30 million.

There is NO WAY ON EARTH that Liverpool will accept a £30m offer for this guy when they do not want to sell in the first place ... I hate to remind everyone that Liverpool are only 4 pts behind us and with Pellegini looking absolutely clueless at the moment I myself am very worried that Liverpool may pinch the 4th spot which would mean virtually zero chance of him wanting to come to City anyway ...

Well he can just run down his contract instead then and let a tribunal decide what compensation is due. It won't be anywhere near £30M in that case.

Can only assume that the way he has gone from the saviour of the dippers / ingurland to crack head/druggie/lazy/greedy/overated player in the space of a fortnight within the rag/dipper media means the deal is already done and he's coming to us.
Obviously the negotiations were ongoing when all the ex-dippers were wheeled out in the press to say he should stay put and wasn't ready to move to another club. Now we have entered stage 2 - slagging him off and smearing his reputation, followed closely by quoting his transfer fee/wages as double the actual figure and an outcry over City 'ruining football'.
He wouldn't me my first choice tbh, but if it gets under the skin of this many c**ts he's probably worth it just for shits and giggles.

You think people within our club leaked stories to the s*n?

This entire post is nonsense.

He won't want to wait two years stuck on £30k pw.

No, I didn't say that. It's the way the club wheeled out John 'I'm not a shit manager you're all just racist' Barnes et all to discourage him from moving, followed by the subsequent press about the laughing gas and Brenda being luke warm just says it all. I'm not sure where he's going, but you can bet if he was staying, or going to spurs or U*d the press take on it would be different. Good luck with your delusion - I think there is more chance of Alan Hansen and Stevie G starting for you next season. Of course the whole thing could just be a Rooney style 'give me a huge new contract or I'm going' thing, but unless you get CL again that's probably not happening.

Close the thread. It's not going to happen.

Brendan says we're not big enough. What a shame.

Funny none of the media said to him that Liverpool do have a great history but how many premiers leagues have they won Brendon? and in the future they don't look like winning it any time soon, so why shouldn't a players move on to better things and premier trophies? just like the lad moved from QPR, to better himself...

Brenda had to make such a big statement about us being a "smaller" club because he's clearly quite worried about losing Sterling to us this summer.
