I wouldn't be so sure. The owners have shown they are no push over. They love Iba and progress him and leave Sterling it's not beyond the realms of impossible

Theyre running a business at the end of the day though and theyre not fans.

They let him rot in the reserves, he can walk on his contract.

It's just not going to happen.

They won't think twice about letting him rot in the reserves, they're as stubborn as fuck at Liverpool, and won't want to look as though they've caved in against us. We both end up losers in this fiasco.

You don't understand trying to avoid paying more money than we have to?

Tried to explain this to some posters here about a week ago. I told them there's no way we would pay 50M. Sterling is beyond redemption now, he would never get the support of LFC fans, quite similar to the incident between Nasri and Arsenal fans. there's only one possible outcome here.We don't need to spend higher than we have to. They would break eventually.

You think Henry will let Brenda waste £50m like that? I don't.

Can't see any club paying £50m for him so he either rots away for a season and Liverpool have a very negative dressing room or we sign him for the price we have now offered.

Bad business move by Liverpool if they stay with their stubbornness.

I know this won't happen but our board should publically take the piss by increasing our bid on a daily, or twice daily, basis by little increments - £100k at a time for example.

Liverpool are trying to protect their reputation and perceived status to their own fans and others. The rolling out of Gerrard, carragher, et al to chip away at Sterlings character is however embarrassing to anyone who doesn't blindly believe the tabloid garbage. It does however make it harder to get this deal done, the more stubborn they get the tougher it will be. This may roll on to the end of August!!

Sorry I don't agree, left in the reserves to rot will do nothing for anyone, his value will depreciate and if he's there for 2 years, he's on a free. At the end of the day its business and the deal will be done, one way or another.

He has to leave this summer. I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes, but we all have to be very confident it will happen. If we pulled out over £5m I would be gutted/livid if I was sterling! I'm sure we won't - interesting to see if we do end up having to
Pay £50m though.

That's their biggest problem.
