Fair enough

I'm not gonna argue or fall out with you,but what I will say,in all my years of supporting City,I've never ever known a player to receive such a sacred untouchable bubble around him,who can do no wrong ever,it's called being a fanboy, where the actual truth is no player will ever be bigger than the club.

I’d also say you were a fanboy.

When in amazing form you were still in denial and refused at times to give him credit when he was one of our top 3 best players on a consistent basis.

Hopefully he signs, he's been pivotal in our success since he signed. I'm sure Pep gave the ok to sign him before even he had arrived. I know he frustrates a lot of people, myself included, but I'm sure most clubs would like to sign him.

I've said on a few occasions,he's making me eat my words, unfortunately for the likes of you,a FEW being the operative word.

Take the other week,v Wolves, the penalty he took,I have never seen as many people with their hands in front of thir eyes, just peering through them, absolutely scared to death, for themselves, the result of it,and him, that's the scenario he has put into match going fans.

Me a fanboy, nah sorry, too old for that kind of shit, would I be upset if he left,no,but I will add the same applies to a few others we have here as well,Jesus,Zinchenko and Grealish spring to mind, but that is just to show it's not just Sterling that don't float the boat at times.

Being a supporter of the club, allows opinions to be made and spoke about, and remember,I'm not alone

I hope he does sign, he has regained form and more importantly for me, if he does sign this contract it protects his transfer value to us.

I still think he will be off as soon as one of the two major clubs shows serious intend to get him.

Not sure him signing a new contract protects his transfer value as he is already on wages prohibitive to most.

Dont think for one minute Sterling has been abused either on here or at the match , disappointed absolutely , we are entitled to voice an opinion if a player is playing well below his abilities and lacking commitment at times.
Criticism is part of life as a professional footballer as are all the plaudits Raheem has recieved , if you had asked me a couple of months ago about a contract renewal then i would have been reticent about any huge wage increase.
Glad to say Sterling has rammed mine and many others criticism down our throats and is now looking back to his best ,but there is a big difference between abuse and criticism

A couple of years ago two men were convicted at court for racially ab usi g Sterling, both men in their late 50s and lifelong City fans. Bournmouth match I think. 5 year ban and fined.
Other City fans reported and witnessed the incident.
Which would you categorize that as abuse or criticism ?

Still means we can negotiate a decent fee for him, if he goes into the next window with less than a year left he is worth next to nothing.

I'd agree with your last comment. I think in his shoes, the ideal time for him to extend would have been at his lowest if he was serious about staying
