Sterling’s biggest asset is pace. He is late 20’s now, he won’t get any quicker and he is one torn hamstring from being a moderately quick player with pretty average technique. We have had his prime years and we are getting our money back. It is a great deal for City in my view.

I disagree. His movement is unbelievable. He knows when to be at the far post for a tap in.

It is all about opinions and I am no more knowledgeable than the next blue, but I think a lot of PL class forwards have movement just as good. The unbelievable element has been the service he gets from our galaxy of stars. With Goaters positional sense in this team, he would have got 45 a season.

We shall find out at Chelsea, won’t we?

Goater is an interesting comparison as he wasn’t a natural finisher, yet managed to score a ton of goals.

Maybe his misfits went into the corners more!

You refer to it as crap but it's pretty basic stuff mate. The more numbers you have, the more likely you are to avoid those risks. Squad depth is big reason why we have been as successful as we have and the more unknown quantities you have per position, the higher the risk.
so we should 10 players to minimize the risk?

He may not have time. Chelsea leave for the US this weekend, and Raheem is still on holiday.

The advantage Jesus had was that Brazil finished internationals a week before England, so he had an extra week to come back and sort everything before the start of pre season. Just like most of the rest of our internationals, Sterling will barely be back in the country long enough to complete the deal before he's on a plane.

I'd be surprised if he even comes back to the UK?

He's in Jamaica and needs to be in LA this weekend if he is to join up with his new team-mates.

Seems a waste of a journey and sure he can get his medical in the US.

As you say, all a bit of a rush if Chelsea want him in the States.

I doubt very much if he can. He will never get anyway close to Sterlings stats and contribution as a forward player. The only way I can see him justifying his price tag will be as a playmaker in the mould of KDB. Not sure if he is up to the task though.
As your name suggests please try and keep the faith.
