Naive at best imo. Its far less likey but big clubs are hardly lining up. Factor in who we'd realistically sell to and the chances increase. They are the best placed club to offer the club the right money and the player the wages he was angling for with us previously.

For a player who's won the league multiple times already and is now 26 years old and looking for a deal taking him into his 30's...the best financial package will be the most appealing. That is surely going to be Newcastle. If they dont get a look in it will be because a barca are also willing to pay big wages...i'd wager they wont given the financial reality they now face and they wont be the only big club with this limitation.

he could go there and be their superstar signing and be treated like a king. He could end up being to them what toure was to us or atleast what tevez was to us. If he goes barca i honestly dont think he'd win anything for two years atleast. Once madrid sign the players they want to sign this summer i can't see barca catching them for a few years.

Newcastle will offer bigger wages than spurs. Especially the first couple of big names they sign. Plus, the summer is long time ago when your form continues to disappoint...

People will sleep on Newcastle for a bit until a few decent players arrive. Dont get me started on spurs...they will never amount to anything and even "one of their own" Kane knows this.
