That was my point in that he might then fetch more than Mane. I just can't see it happening though. What about if he moves within the prem? Shock Chelsea move for example?

He did it with Sancho for example. Sancho wouldn't sign a contract so was frozen out of the squad and sold.
Sane wasn't in the final year of his contract?
Garcia I will never understand but by all accounts Pep felt like we had no other option so had to play him.
With Sterling we have several others who can play so Pep could definitely just bench him.
Of course not, but that's normally referred to as an extensionnothing to stop us paying the signing on fee and keeping him.
No Milner was not a **** for leaving on a free as he was entitled to do. He became a **** when he fully bought into the cult and bad mouthed City. The sentiment around milner leaving on a free and sterling leaving on a free is night and day.
Milner was a ****
Sterling is a good servant.
Let's not try to rewrite history, Sane was frozen out of the team.

I wouldn’t expect Sterling to do the same.
Correct he did his cruciate in the Charity Sheild. If it weren't for that year long injury we may well have sold him sooner and got more brass for him.No he wasnt. He wasn't playing long before the whole bayern thing. And then he was out inured for a year. Let's not reqrite history indeed.

No we bought him to provide a service. He has.

You missed Aguero and Silva, leaving for free is just someone's personal decision and it's 100% legit to do that, maybe sterling wants more money or more challenges but at the end of the day it's his decision. You can do nothing about that. He earned his reputation and during signing a contract there were no clause saying he can't leave for free. It's hurting me as well, but let's respect our players even if it's for his last year, like good fans do.
Nah.
The cuntiness began when he started stringing the club along.....using the pretence that if certain conditions were met, then he would sign a new deal while all along having no intention as he already had eyes on the huge signing on fee the Dippers had offered him.
He managed to become a bigger **** after he left.
I like James Milner.
Not sure if I'm expected to commit seppuku now.
Pretty much this but if he refuses to leave and won’t discuss a new deal I’d make it very clear he’s behind at least Mahrez, Foden, Grealish and Palmer in the pecking order.I would rather that he extended his contract to be honest, but if he's going to run it down and tells Pep etc then it's up to City to see if we can get a decent price for him now.
Obviously we can't force him out nor should we..but financially if we can get a decent price then it's a no brainer.
Hope he stays as with Haaland up front I think it will be a great boost for Raz to have a target to get the ball into the box earlier.
Regardless of whether he stays or leaves he's been an excellent signing for us and deserves our respect.
