Peter Beardsley is one for me !!

Convinced to this day had we kept him on loan we'd have stayed up.
We beat Huddersfield away 3-0 and he ran the show and the next thing his loan was up and not extended.
I think you could only have 2 loanees at the time and Royle went for Lee Briscoe and one other I can't recall..... (Richard Jobson?)
With Beardsley we'd definitely had got one more point that would have seen us stay up - though with hindsight then we'd never have had the Gillingham moment!

I can't remember a lot from my youth but I do remember,wherever we stood on the kippax around 85-86 whenever he touched the ball he got booed or a m*****ch reference was mentioned towards/about him.

Also this guy i think - Dave Morley. Me and the old man went to Bury one night and he scored a goal on his debut in a 1-1 in 1997 never to be seen again.
