Rangers Fans gonna be herded like sheep!

Why do we still allow German fans into the City after what those bastards did to Manchester in the blitz? Now they did make a mess!

Or the Yorkshire teams - they kicked off with us because we had a red rose and it was better than their white one. So we had a big fight and Danny deVito made a film about it.

Anyone from Scandanavia - they used to be Vikings and they raped our great great grandparents and robbed our village shops.

Or the French - oh wait - they all ran off before the fighting kicked off so they're ok.

Maybe it's time to forget about it now?

but what will happen with the rangers fans who come from other parts of britain, im sure there will be rangers fans from the south. and will they stop trains at wigan, because that is a walk

Why would a rangers fan from down south come to Manchester without a ticket? They aren't giving the tickets out until everyones at Wigan it says.

-- Tue Sep 07, 2010 4:45 pm --

Point is that is over and done with. A lot of people are still holding a grudge - it's history and should be forgotten about. I seriously doubt that it would be allowed to happen again. It should also be remembered that the game in question was the UEFA cup final with a lot more importance than a group stage game - the chances of dozens of Rangers fans turning up is unlikley, let alone tens of thousands as there was last time. There will be no fan-zones, no big screens and not many Rangers fans around - so what's the attraction. I doubt there would be many of us wanting to travel to Glasgow to watch a group stage match in a pub full of Jocks so why would they want to do the same?

About time this whole thing about Rangers fans invading the city again is dropped.

Perhaps it's only round 1,the other stuff that's being collected ain't good.

So how do we feel when the GMP decide that All City fans going to the swamp later in the season must travel first to Eastlands to pick up tickets and get "Official" buses to and from owed trafford, and all rags going to the home derby must go to vicarage road to get tickets for the away end at Eastlands before getting "Official" buses to and from Manchester?

Would save me a taxi fare as I never park at the swamp so I'd be well up for it

Didn't the West Yorkshire Police do the same thing with Millwall supporters going to Leeds the other year, don't see the big deal they aren't very welcome in Manchester anymore(and for that matter Celtic too after last seasons preseason game).

I agree! There are fans of them two clubs who are the lowest scum there can be. I realise that there will be thousands who are sound people, but the idiots who took the piss out of our city and it's citizens (and especially those who have had excuses for why and justified what happened) ruined that for any decent fans forever.

I know I don't speak for everyone, but as far as I'm concerned Rangers and Celtic aren't welcome in Manchester!
