Couldn't have happened to a more deserving bunch of sectarian scumbags. Unless it happened to their 'mates' from across the city, of course.
Agreed.
They both can get fucked.

Didn't know it was common knowledge what i posted

Awrite fair enough just thought most would already know. We were really bad the last couple of seasons but it is looking a bit better as we actually made a couple of signings this season haha

The debt is sitting at around £20-£30mil which seems tiny compared to most EPL teams but we don't have the finance to sustain it. It has been the same for the last 5 years but when the banking crisis hit and the Bank of Scotland got taken over by Lloyds it all changed with them wanting their money.

We probably would have been properly in the shit had it not been for the work of Walter Smith and guiding us to two in a row the last 2 seasons.

Yep I know about tax came out a couple of months ago.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/apr/27/rangers-hmrc-investigation-offshore-payments" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010 ... e-payments</a>

People in the know have came out and said that it's more a matter with Murray and his company than Rangers FC.

Tbh it came out about the tax and then nothing else has been heard about it. If they hit us then they will have to hit alot of EPL clubs as they do the same thing. It's legal but I think the HMRC are trying to close the loophole.

Rangers bank with Lloyds, not Barclays

Every player for Rangers is up for sale

They've been setting up businesses off shore to pay players into. But the stupid fuckers own the businesses so it's conflict of interest. They owe millions in tax and can't pay it because they are skint.

They got a top accountant in to have a look at the books and tell them the damage. The answer was "You're fucked and need to pay every penny" so what did they do.....sacked him because it wasn't the answer they wanted and hired someone else to lie to them and tell them it would be ok

every player is up for sale? so why have Rangers just bought James Beattie, Nikica Jelavic and Taken Vladimir Weiss on loan, paying a fee to do so, if they are selling everyone. A slight flaw in your argument, I'm sure you will agree.

Rangers have not been hit with any tax bill at all, there is a hearing to come where Rangers will present their case, vigorously denying the claims, only then would a bill be issued if Rangers lost the case.

Rangers did not 'get in' a firm of top accountants, they already have a firm of top accountants working continuously. No accountants have been fired at all, Rangers use a reputable multi national firm of accountants, you make it sound like its now one man operating from his basement for beer tokens.

Rangers debt is well reported, but is now sitting around the 25 million mark. Rangers may play in the shit that is the spl, but they average over 48,000 at home games, against the likes of the mighty st mirren, kilmarnock, Inverness Caledonian thistle, and play in the champions league group stages on a regular basis. they do have money coming in from European participation, over 50 million has been made from European competition in the past 4 seasons (3x champions league group stages + UEFA Cup Final)

25 million debt (down 6 million from the medias favored 31 million figure) is not that big a deal to a club the size of Rangers, who now now have a wage bill that is the lowest it has been since the late 1980's (well under 20 million per annum)

the separated brethren from across the city of Glasgow have double the wage bill, seriously falling attendances, have been dumped out of Europe twice already this season before the schools went back, and have a debt of £8 million. only last year celtc had a debt which was £30 million less than Rangers, in just one year that is now standing at £17 million of a difference, a 13 million swing in only one season. my point in comparing the 2 clubs, is purely down to the fact that this info is being handed out by celtc fans to anyone that will listen, thought i would offer up a balanced view.

the only way you could possibly know this, if it was true, is if you worked for HMRC, and if you do, then you should not be disclosing such information to the public. the fact that there are so may inaccuracies in your post tells me you quite obviously don't work for any of the organisations/companies that are involved. let me guess, it was from a celtc message board ?!?! you are a celtc fan?!?! or, your mate is celtc fan?!?!

hiring someone to tell them it would be ok. I’m PMSL at that tbh

Its not about setting up businesses offshore at all, its a legal loophole that HMRC are trying to close and charge many clubs (including Arsenal & the rags) with misuse of it, retrospectively, despite it being totally legal. Its tax avoidance, not tax evasion, there is a difference.

The total amount payable from premier League clubs would be in excess of £200 million if HMRC win, but they don’t have a leg to stand on. unless of course they change the laws, and you can be accountable for something retrospectively, that was perfectly legal when the alleged offence took place !!!

It's bully boy tactics, and is designed to hope that teams shit it and pay

What a sensible reply completely showing up a post about Rangers "dire financial plight" to be a crock of shit - on a message board.

Wonders will never cease.
