Rangers Thread - 2023/24

Morelos goal at the piggery ruled out for nothing, Roofe goal at Ibrox ruled out for nothing and now the Walsh/Collum horror show. They get every big decision yet cry about Masonic refs. Intimidation has paid off for the mhanky hordes.
The Clancy performance in the 2-1 Rangers victory at Parkhead can never be forgotten!! That little rat bastard , Ryan Christie, should have been sent off about 4 times!!

It’s telling the power the media have. At one point in their careers Christie had a far worse disciplinary record than Morelos yet it was the Rangers player who was hounded by the media for his indiscipline.

Last game before the winter break.

Balogun suspended so Souttar recalled. Personally I prefer Souttar at the back so no great loss.

Dowell replaces Sterling in the middle and again like for like so no problem there

New loan signing Silva on the bench. We ll only see him if we are struggling for goals and with Dessers upfront there’s a good chance of that

Nice to see Raskin on the bench and hopefully he’ll be fit and raring to go after the break

Killie struggled on the road earlier in the season but recently beat St Mirren away and The Buddies have a very decent home record. Going to be a tough final game of the first half of the season. Any win will do to put pressure on to the great unwashed!

Awk don't put too much pressure on yourselves

Two great first half goals has Rangers 2-0 up but Killie have started 2nd half brightly

Never , NEVER, a fucking penalty! Absolutely ridiculous decision!!

He slides trying to keep his arm down FFS!

Cheating corrupt SFA cunts

GURFUY. I could go in all day about goals and penalties we should have had. It was fucking offside. That’s just a fact. All the optimism, all the bravado, once again lying in a pile of shit. We have been fucking dire so far this year overall and we still have beat you twice. When it matters. And you all fucking know it.

Not a fact at all, you can’t claim an imaginary offside 30 mins after the event took place. It was a penalty all day long

So so desperate to give away pens at Ibrox they now manufacture them. That was Liverpool v Newcastle level cheating

You’ve benefited in both games from debatable decisions (I’m being generous)

Both old firm games could easily have gone the other way.

You have blown a decent lead handed to you by the Beale factor. Since Clement has come in we are by a distance the better team and will go on to win the league by 7-10 points.

I have said for some time you needed to be at the very least 5 points clear but you can’t even get that with a win today (I’m giving us the 6 points for games in hand)

I know you are worried and all the bravado and nice hairdo posts is not changing anything

All the focus is on that one decision . It was far more than that! Johnstone and Bernardo should both have walked and it’s not even up for discussion!! McGregor could have seen red also

The ball is clearly out of play at their first goal. They say every goal is checked then how did Collum miss that? Again this is not debatable. It’s clearly out

We have just seen the most outrageous penalty given against Rangers. As soon as I saw the reply I knew it would be given even though he’s done everything to keep hand down. They’ve been desperate to award something against Rangers

Corrupt to the core !!

Only one team in Scotland has yet to have a penalty awarded against them this season. The team supported by refs Clancy, Collum Robertson and Walsh,

Rangers have had THREE penalties awarded against them already and two are very dubious decisions.

In recent weeks we’ve seen Alistair Johnstone literally diving and stopping a goal bound shot on the line with his hand! No penalty !!

Only on Saturday we saw the same player knock the ball out the park with his hand. That’s only two I can think of but I’m sure there will be more.

I never claimed anything. The VAR was clear it was offside.you don’t get a penalty because they fuck it up. It was offside. Your team once again gandedcyhreir fuckingcsrsexehen it mattered. Away and enjoy your co- efficient against pish teams you can best. This one you can’t.

You are all fucking gutted because, once again, you deluded cunts thought you had us. Your bulldhit, backed up by the daily Ranger et so, had convinced you. We had been shite but we showed again we are better than you useless cunts.

3 in a fucking Row.

I read today Hearts want circa £3m for Shankland. Rangers are believed to be offering “considerably less” than that. What’s new? I know they like doing you a favour by never turning up, but I can’t see them accepting your bag of shrapnel.

Also Brighton want between £7-8m for Sima. If that’s true, then he’s off too, unless you have another 89 share issues. You will be selling Butland in the summer though, that could fund it. You will make a few Bob on him.

Playing Hertha Berlin and 1-0 down at half time. We’ve ok in flashes and probably had more of the ball but created very little.

Conceded another goal from a set piece right on half time.

Silva has been very quiet but little service. Matondo has looked decent on an absolute coo field of a playing surface. Maybe preparing the team for next weeks cup game at Dumbarton

I know it’s a training exercise. I know we are playing many kids but this is fucking dreadful !!

Anybody watching this won’t be rushing out to pay £15 for Copenhagen on a cold January Tuesday night!!

Don’t know how they are getting away with this but it seems they are. Not sure other clubs will be pleased but seems to be a done deal..

Rangers and Sky Sports have agreed an innovative TVrights swap deal that will see an extra live match broadcast from Ibrox on the satellite channel during the remainder of the current season.

And it's understood that in return Rangers have received the ability to broadcast two more home games on Pay Per View.

The club already beam out live from every match to the rest of the world but only five Ibrox contests can be shown in the UK as part of the TV deal. The new arrangement means British viewers will now be able to stump up for a further pair of home matches on demand direct from the club.

The agreement comes on the back of relationship building behind the scenes between the Rangers hierarchy and Sky led by CEO James Bisgrove and new commercial director Karim Virani. While there has been criticism in the past of the quantum involved in the SPFL's TV deal this has never been aimed towards the broadcaster who the club feel are an excellent partner.

While PPV matches offer a lucrative revenue stream for Rangers to tap into further there are also other factors at play. With further Thursday night European games still to come in the last 16 of the Europe League and potentially beyond, more Sunday matches are a certainty - a situation that can cause travel difficulties for some supporters and makes offering PPV an appealing option.

Sky are were allowed to broadcast just four times from each ground, meaning that once the two Old Firm games are taken into account they have to be very careful about their choices given the potential need to broadcast a post-split title decider.

One Old Firm game at Ibrox has already been ticked off and the next one will hit screens in early April. Cameras will aslo be present when Phillipe Clement's men will also face Aberdeen at their home stadium on February 6th.

And now the broadcaster has two more opportunities to consider as the season threatens to be a close-run title race.
