Its far to late to change the meet, Less than 24hrs before the scheduled meet, and there is meant to be roughly 2500 City fans going. Apparantly.

Apparently you can get the underground from Ashton Lane to the ground. We'll be in Ashton Lane at 1pm. We're staying near Kilmarnock at the moment on a golfing holiday and the locals in the pub reckon The Loft on Ashton Lane is a top place to go.

3 of us going from manc at 1230 hope to park up at ibrox 4, get tube to hillhead and ashton lane, then sing song and tube back to ibrox 7ish... after the game off to a flyer down m74/m6

the loft ashton lane it is

I live in Glasgow so thought I'd post some info about Ashton Lane etc, sadly I won't be able to go myself which I'm a bit gutted about :(

Ashton Lane is right next to Glasgow University and not too far from Kelvingrove Museum. It's in the west end, which is by far the poshest (less likely to get stabbed part) of the city. Full of students and "intellectuals" ;)

You COULD potentially walk from Ashton Ln to Ibrox stadium but I don't know if I'd recommend it. As you cross the Clyde river and head into Ibrox/Govan it gets less friendly so to speak. Not the worst bit of Glasgow, but different from the west end anyway!

From Ashton Lane there's a subway station Hillhead which is like 2 minutes walk away, this should take you to a subway station called Ibrox, which is almost ON Ibrox Stadium itself, so that's probably what you'd want to aim for. Also you could get mini-buses or normal taxis from Glasgow Taxis (0141 429 7070). A normal taxi shouldn't come to more than £5-7 I reckon, even with a black cab (obviously private hire taxis are cheaper).

About 5 minutes on the underground.

Simples.

Anyway, im at work, got 4hrs to work and then start my journey up to Glasgow. Im buzzing as its the first game im attending this season, and the 2nd is on Saturday.

Cant wait to meet some fellow blues. Lets show the blue side of Glasgow how away supporters should behave.

See you all around half 2, and save me some booze ;)
