Rats/Pest help

Red squirrels are rare in England , the North American Grey squirrel has pushed the reds out, only found in isolated areas, more in Wales and Scotland.
Not so much pushed them out as infected them.
Greys carry a virus, squirrel pox, to which they are immune that kills reds.

we think we have couple mice in loft!
Mrs could hear them last night.
I went up this morning, couple damp patches and droppings but very small amount.

is it worth getting pest control ?

or just laying a few traps/poison
This is all you need to keep doing BlueHammer85.........easy peasy, job done!!

I had one die in my bathroom wall cavity at a flat a few years ago, couldn't find the fucker anywhere. Joined a gym just to use their shower for about 4 weeks. Worst smell ever

I've only ever seen two before this summer. There was a pair running through the trees here in my back garden in the City but there are tons up north where we just bought a place.
I prefer the look of them to the shitty black and grey ones but they are far more of a ****.
Brilliant last line sir. I'm replaying it in my head in the voice of Sir David Attenborough

It'll stay with you for life that smell.
One died in the wall cavity of a big old terraced house I rented in Heywood back in the nineties.
The smell of a decomposing rat is fucking rank

Traps baited with either chocolate raisens or chocolate and hazlenut spread. We had something or things running between the exterior tiles and interior vaulted ceiling and all my fishing rod handles had been chewed so....war was declared. Phoned up a private vermin control guy, very helpful and told me what to do, said they charge £78 to come out but seeing as they'd just told me what to do I didn't really want to put them to any inconvenience....Traps were a tenner and a packet of the Co ops finest choco raisens did the trick...half a dozen little furry stiffs and not a sign of any others since.

Yuck!

We can’t stand it so have got a pest control man coming tomorow
Should save your money..........just put some traps down and rinse and repeat.

They may only be small, but they can do some damage and besides, I don't like the dirty little bastards roaming around.

A good mouse, is a dead mouse.

It’s £120 , guy does 3 visits and he can check everywhere in loft and lay down best poison etc. It’s more for ease of mind.

Do we pass by your place? 401/115/7/28/62
There's always cold beer in the cooler ; )
Friday aft at 5pm this summer but next summer will be coming home to do laundry and mow the lawns occasionally.
No.......401/115/35.

That's a nice drive........especially on a Friday afternoon. :)

Some time ago I used to head down after work on a Friday to West Rouge (exit by the No Frills/Port Union Rd) and saw all the traffic going the other way. Most heading off to cottage country for the weekend. Didn't envy them in the slightest.
