Rats/Pest help

No.......401/115/35.

That's a nice drive........especially on a Friday afternoon. :)

Some time ago I used to head down after work on a Friday to West Rouge (exit by the No Frills/Port Union Rd) and saw all the traffic going the other way. Most heading off to cottage country for the weekend. Didn't envy them in the slightest.
3 1/2hrs if I leave at 5pm. There won't be much of that going on next summer.
The double shooting near my house last night makes it seem like nothing.

we think we have couple mice in loft!
Mrs could hear them last night.
I went up this morning, couple damp patches and droppings but very small amount.

is it worth getting pest control ?

or just laying a few traps/poison
How're your mice coming along BlueHammer?

A few of the little buggers mooched around here a little too much and bit the dust. Now ready for the next lot........all primed and ready to go!!!

The joys of moving to the Countryside!
Anyone used the electronic repellent thingys on the blighters to get rid successfully?

The ultrasonic things are useless. They think it's a rave. You need a proper deterrent: adder - fox - cat - terrier, in that order. The multi shot CO2 traps are OK but you need to check them regularly.

I've got an ultrasonic deterrent. Not had a mouse since we installed it, about six years ago. That said, we didn't have many mice before it. We have a massive field at the back of the house and often see field mice in the garden.

My Cat brings his work home constantly, we are forever rescuing them from his clutches. He can sit in the same spot for days if one escapes him.

We generally get visited when the farmer harvest the field that backs onto our garden
This year though it was field corn so wasn't harvested until a couple of weeks ago
I laid my mouse traps in the garage, with peanut butter, and haven't had a bite yet, which I put down to the late harvesting
But that's what I recommend, killer traps laced with peanut butter

I would second that other than I use chocolate. I live in the countryside and the cold weather means they head for the integrated garage. I use white plastic traps, dead easy to set with a bit
of chocolate on the dish and caught 3 mice in the first couple of days, nothing since. They come in via a small gap under the garage door where the traps are waiting for them. The gap is too small for rats so the situation is manageable with mice. It is the price paid for living in the countryside and being surrounded by fields. I also have a couple of those electronic devices plugged in but they are no deterrent.
