Rayan Aït-Nouri

Insane price for a very very mediocre player. Even half of that seems excessive. Wouldn’t rule out this is Jorge Mendes just trying to drive up some interest.

I also wonder why we’re pretty much only linked with PL players. Window hasn’t opened yet and we’ve already been linked with Branthwaite, Robinson, Ait-Nouri, Bruno G, Douglas Luiz, Palhinha, Paqueta, Olise and Neto. Apart from Paqueta I think there are better options for every of those players outside the PL. I guess being PL proven is a very important aspect, but is it really THAT important?

That journos page is gold.

I read that as meaning Robinson is 10th on our list of left-backs and Ait-Nouri is 9th.

Gomez will go, he needs game time. Something tells me Ait-Nouri could be ready for a step up after stalling for a bit. He was always slight and people picked on him a bit. But 22 or so is when a lot of lads fill out and get their stamina. 2 goals and an assist in recent weeks. We'll see more of Gvardiol / Ake at CB if current fitness patterns continue. Maybe even Akanji at RB, as well. And funnily enough I think an attacking LB would take some pressure off Rodri.

Why are we after all these Wolves players, you’d have thought the club would have learnt its lesson with Nunes. The best club in the world buying players from Poundland for Harrods prices… no thanks.
