Why do people think this is unlikely?

We looked at Ederson in 2016, decided against him and bought him in 2017.

Rodri's agent was advertising him all over in 2018 and we passed and bought him 1 year later for 3x the price.

Cucurella was being hawked all over Europe last season and we passed on him for 17m before bidding 30, 35 and 40m this summer.
