How is Santa Cruz still playing football?
Its definitely one that would have featured in "Ripleys believe it or not"
My ex daughter in law was Fat Sams personal secretary when we bought RSC from Blackburn, after he had a meeting with the Chairman, who said they were selling him to us, she says when he came back to the office he booted the door clean off it's hinges. I wish Sam had got his way and we hadn't bought him:-)

I don’t think it’s fair to say that Gvardiol is poor defensively at left-back.

I agree he’s not had a great season, but which players have?

Last year, he was fucking brilliant there.
You'll have to lend me your glasses.
The best thing about the signing is that it'll keep Josko in his best position - centre back.

We’ll still have Haaland, Foden, Cherki, Savio, Doku, and Bobb—all capable of playing across the front three. Savio, Bobb, Doku, and Cherki can rotate between LW and RW, which covers us well in the absence of Marmoush.

As for Rayan: if we manage to sign Livramento, that gives us coverage on both flanks since he can operate as both RB and LB. If Nunes stays, he can continue to provide RB cover—as he’s already done—while Livramento shifts to LB. We also still have Gvardiol, who can slot into LB if needed, allowing Dias to play LCB and Khusanov to take the RCB role.
Don’t forget O’Riley—he’ll be part of the equation too.

Yes I know it is not ideal to miss players in the grueling Dec schedule but we should be able to manage. It’s also unlikely both of them reach the AFCON final. One should be back within 2–3 weeks, and the other, at most, 4 weeks.
Let me get this straight, are you saying we have options? :)

What makes you think Pep's going to play him left back?
Rayan has the technical ability to play further forward in fact many Wolves supporters would have liked to see him pushed further forward, possibly Pep sees him in the role that the new Real Madrid RB plays, my own thoughts are Rayan likes to get forward as you will all see but hopefully Pep won't ask him to continually get white paint on his boots, the deal makers at Wolves are getting some flack for the price you have paid, anyways good luck for the season ahead I hope i will continue to see the best of Rayan for City.

Surprised this hasn’t at least been announced?
Wont be announced until the transfers have been ratified by PL / UEFA also work permits need to be confirmed and intentional clearance for Tijjani I doubt the offices are open on a Sunday

He gets done 1 v 1 way too much. Looks alot more commanding at LCB. There more centrally his excellent tech ability comes to the fore more too and will help our forwards get ball in better positions.

Does mean we will lose some of his attacking ability when he is CB but he's one of our top players in my book so need to build team around the likes of him . . .
