I remember wanting this guy like 4 years ago. Talent wise he has absolutely everything and is a special player. And other than seemingly unsubstantiated concerns about his work rate and attitude I have seen nothing to convince me otherwise.

He is unbelievably good. First touch, dribbling, two footed. He can score and assist. He can affect a game from anywhere. He is similar to Hazard and Neymar in that way.

If we can't get Wirtz, I would definitely go for Cherki. Even if we can I'd be tempted to try and sign both (assuming we can sell Grealish).

The longer we wait the more expensive he gets . Get him no matter what happens with Wirtz. He will explode next season. He has more potential than Wirtz and in my opinion he currently has the highest ceiling of all players in his group and under maybe beside musiala

That's just the narrative that plenty have been trying to refute in the media for awhile now. He's seemed to take his game up a level this year.

He does have a clause I believe around 30/35m. He's a no brainer if we can convince him if true.

It might be a narrative, but the fact that no one has taken a punt on him makes it seem more true.
 
I personally know nothing about this kid.
We have dossiers on all of the players we have an interest in. We go to great lengths to check the integrity and character of players we want to invest in. Tough ask to find a player with a squeaky clean record.
We will know all about this player, on field and off. It’s very often a trade off.
There are very few David Silvas about..

Absolutely agree with this. We should be trying to sign him regardless of Wirtz.

I dont want us laying all our eggs in one basket on Wirtz and then missing out on both when Wirtz strings us along and then opts to join Bayern a month later on down the line.

Get this done.

Absolutely and tbf we have signed players in the past who were far from squeaky clean..
 
Did people watch the game or a few highlights . Never in a million years will he be signed.
