He’s basically a faster version of Palmer.
Well you must not have seen him play because if you had you’d know how quick he isYeah, I'm not 100% convinced by semenyo, but he is more the type of player id like us to get, just to get a balance.
I might get battered for this as well…
Ait Nouri…love watching him play, highly technical, great at beating the press, but his biggest weakness is our biggest defensive weakness...pace!
Marmoush, he is best as a second striker, he'd have been unreal in the 90’s.
I don't think he's proved as effective in his career so far, out wide right. More somewhere between hanging off the CF and the right.
We could do that, but it means changing our blue print. Not sure he's good enough to warrant that change.
On a positive note, it sounds like we are getting the business done early which is a lot better.
fatter or faster? He’s basically a faster version of Palmer.
Rayan is very cheap and better.Him or Xavi Simons for me.
Compared to what sterling received they really don’t give Grealish worse treatment. If sterling came out of a bar hobbling because he was drunk beyond measure the media would have torn him apart. The only reason why Grealish got negative coverage is because he plays for City, cost £100m, wasn’t worth the money and didn’t get a fraction of hate as compared to Sterling. So the media are racist against Sterling.....but they also give Grealish worse treatment. So they just hate everyone?
You say that but after Wirtz who’s the next best thing creatively? Xavi simons has similar numbers to Foden who’s just had his worst season. Baena is off to Atletico. Palmer is impossible. Mastantuono is a big risk as well. The three or four WC players would have to be poached from the other elite teams who, no doubt probably have them on long contracts. It just isn’t feasibleThese conversations always need context…
If we are intent on getting back to been an elite team, then we need to sign 3 or 4 world class players that will start every game. That's at the least.
He isn't that. Now, it could be argued we put him into the “give the lad a chance bracke” like we did for Phillips, nunes, doku, savinho etc.
However we are way past that point, we can't afford that risk anymore.
He's good in tight spaces, highly technical, but has none of the pace, power and aggression we badly lack in the team.
His stats are his stats, but you do have to take them with a pinch of salt. How many times have we seen amazing stats from lesser leagues.
I just think we need to aiming way better.
he’s literally Hazard and Neymar idk when Palmer has ever manipulated the ball like that or rabona the ball multiple times just for funHe’s basically a faster version of Palmer.
Doku has had 2 full seasons to come good.Nunes and Doku will come good. They've not even been that bad.
I think the era of signing the ready made product is over tbh. PSR means it's all about signing and coaching potential. Even Haaland was raw. Clubs go through phases and we are in a rebuild so need to be patient.
The last big signing before that who was an out of the box top player was Grealish I think. It doesn't always work out if you go big either.
He's still 23, there is time for improvement yet. Do I see him improving enough to be a certified starter for us? Leaning towards no but he will always be a great spark plug off the benchDoku has had 2 full seasons to come good.
Can't see him kicking on from the frustrating displays we are used to.
He's found his level and it isn't competing at the top of the Premier league week in week out.
Nunes needs to identify himself as either a full back or a midfielder. And he too has a big mistake in him every game.
He is nothing like Palmerhe’s literally Hazard and Neymar idk when Palmer has ever manipulated the ball like that or rabona the ball multiple times just for fun
I may have imagined it but I thought I read something that said Bernardo was the 2nd slowest player in the PL last season.Hazard with the speed of Bernardo
He is slower than Neville SouthallI may have imagined it but I thought I read something that said Bernardo was the 2nd slowest player in the PL last season.
It may have been an April Fool GIF or something that I may have misread.
grealish is the opposite of a maverick with how pep has played him. its still insane pep has never played grealish in midfield. He totally got screwed by peps strats lol. oh well. cherki is going to absolutely blow our socks off next season if we get him. One of the only people in the world that has a chance to replace the silva kdb hole in our teamThink he’s a magnificent footballer, however, he appears to be a complete maverick, so I do wonder what Pep will do with him (think Grealish). Watch this space.. total banker or bust. Time will tell.
