RB Leipzig (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

I see Haaland is the latest target for the people who know absolutely nothing about football.

Thoroughly professional performance, completely controlled the game against a very decent side who were fantastically disciplined, game changers off the bench doing exactly what Pep wanted them too.

Onto Arsenal Sunday where I wouldnt be surprised to see Bernardo sitting in the middle of the park with Kovacic and us bypassing them at times going more direct to the big man (like last season) who will soon go on a run scoring 15 in 7

A poor side who have not lost at home for 12 months
They play other poor sides a lot in Germany though. Only when Klopp was at Dortmund have I been remotely impressed with any non-Bayern German team that we’ve faced.

All the rest have been poor teams. In 33 games against German opposition we’ve scored 73 goals and conceded 39 with 21 wins out of 31 games.

We’ll score 6 at home against them again easily (6 and 7 in the last two games at the Etihad when they had a much better team than they have this season).

Might not be a popular opinion but Doku, for me, offers so much more than Jack ... and I'm a big fan of Grealish.

You can see right backs absolutely shit themselves when Doku has the bit between his teeth and, more often than not, there's something really productive on the end of one of his runs.

Jack lately seems to get in an advanced position and then passes it back to someone who is now occupying the space he's just run from.
Maybe..Judge Jack after a run of games ..after his injury.
Very few players step straight back into top form after being out.
Im just pleased we have options.
we will need every single player this season.

Thanks Robinho's Subbuteo. Great point about Jack. A year ago, he was my fav player until I noticed what you have. Robbie Savage made the same point in commentary last night. Jack is beginning to turn into 'Right-Angle Ray' (Wilkins) Waste of a great talent. Did it all last season. I noticed Pep talking to him as they left the pitch. Jack does keep and shield the ball well but then moves it on to someone else. More shots please, Jack, and go past a player occasionally which will open up the spaces. Doku isn't afraid to lose the ball. Nor should Jack be. We should be able to cover those who dribble a bit.
