I give Haaland one more season playing this way then he will want out, tepid performance and if you cut the ball out to Rodri we have no control, in midfield. Thought Jack was ok and the back 4 played well.

A point wasn't the worst result tonight but i would love to see the ball being played forward more in direct lines from midfield instead of this "out to the inverted wingers" shite.
Pep brainwashes his players with the possession notion so much so that they are actually shit scared of playing a "risky" pass forward.
Anyway he's left it to us now the home fans to get them over the line in a few weeks time.
 
Good result overall. Great in the first half, and have no doubt we will get the job done at home.
But my god we have become a frustrating watch. We are absolutely terrified of giving the ball away to the point of ignoring breakaways and simple forward passes, instead, turning back and passing backwards for the sake of keeping possesion. How I long for the days of direct players like Sane and a prime Sterling.

Becoming the norm? Really?

We are in the title race, fa cup and champions league in February. No we aren't playing well and that's down to a switch in playing style, formation and actually having a striker. It's going to take time to get into the swing of things. But we will get there.

Couldn’t agree more, but the question is, what do we do about it?

Given that we seem to be deliberately playing shit football, I tend to think we need a new mindset and, dare I say it, a new manager.
 
Controlled first half without creating too much, well only two shots on target anyway. Struggled in the second half, sloppy passes from practically everyone. Our play was a bit slow and ponderous, trying too many silly intricate passes that were easily cut out. A lot of players caught in possession due to holding on to the ball for too long when they should have passed.
 
The Boys in Blue didn’t give in. They fought to the end. Thank you City, thank you lads, thank you fans. We showed ‘em, we showed ‘em all. Especially those ZigZags, especially the blind, biased stupid media.
We’ll do it at home, we’ll take the mantle back up and show ‘em.
