Players physical condition is constantly monitored these days, if they have recovered well I see no problem.

i would agree however personally i would have hoped more would not have travelled to avoid the covid threat if nothing else

It was as cynical as the Jason Puncheon one on KDB at Palace a few years ago. That didn't result in a red card either, although Puncheon came off worse and missed quite a few games he should have missed them through suspension. No wonder Pep goes mad about the lack of protection for players.

It’s heart in mouth time every time we see Foden Grealish, Gundog, KDB, Bernie break the lines. You can see the chasing lumps trying catch up for a desperate lunge from behind. Once they’ve committed to the leap there’s no telling the outcome. As we’ve seen plenty of times. Pure chance whether it takes the ball or the ankle. You can see it all playing out in slo mo. Only defence from it is offload it quicker but we shouldn’t have to dumb down our football to accommodate these cavemen. It’s a cunts trick and should be reffed for what it is. Dangerous play.

Even if Pep would just play the ones that need minutes, or haven't been as much a regular starter to others, it would still be a strong line-up. And knowing Pep, he will field a much stronger team than we expect.

Agreed. It would definitely make a more interesting spectacle for us fans. I think we'll see the likes of Palmer, but mostly it will be our squad players, and players requiring minutes filling the gaps.

Cancelo is an exception to the rule, but it's very hard for most full-backs to switch flanks and that's a lot to ask from JWE.
