Now we have been knocked out of the League Cup w eneed to give Palmer & McAtee a start for this game because they will have little opportunity in the league and champs league games , there is the FA Cup bit Pep usually takes this trophy seriously. Both these lads need to be involved regularly in match day squads we do not want either becoming disillusioned and their agents hawking them round other clubs

Palmer might well have forced his way into regular appearances for the first team by the end of the season tbf, he is that good already. James is probably 6 months to a year behind in terms of physical development, but I would start both

It was as cynical as the Jason Puncheon one on KDB at Palace a few years ago. That didn't result in a red card either, although Puncheon came off worse and missed quite a few games he should have missed them through suspension. No wonder Pep goes mad about the lack of protection for players.
 
I would love to see Palmer lead the line in this one.

I would also love to see McAtee start, but I have a feeling Pep may bring him on in the second half.
