That was a nice goal, good strike. He could have had another one in the first few minutes of the game too.

One thing that I noticed about this match is that Erling was dropping back more to receive the ball. He was holding the ball longer and more involved in the flow of the game from the front. He was almost, ahem, a false nine……:)

I turned to my neighbour at HT and said 'What chance we get another three in the second half'! I really thought we'd run out 3-1 in the end with Leipzig nicking the second half! What do I know? Only been watching for seven decades. Need another seven before i get a handle on what happens in a football match.

Watched the game then headed out to eat, so not read any of the thread yet. I thought we played brilliantly. Some of the football was sublime.

That Cruyff turn that Mahrez did, when he left two of their players for dead was a thing of beauty.

KDB's strike for his goal was beautiful too. The one when he hit the crossbar and Erling headed in was a great strike also.

When we play well there is hardly any other team that is as good to watch. We are really lucky to have the players we do.
