Not a fan of net spend for all the usual reasons but the following table of our activity since the 100 points season (18/19, 19/20. 20/21 and a couple of weeks of 21/22) is food for thought for the hard of thinking net spend wankers who continually bang on about how much we spend:
The figures are from transfer mrkt and the table doesn't include the £11mil for Sancho but Harrison, Angelino and Nmecha deals are there. And no doubt we will end up with another £100mil+ net before the end of the season. But the other clubs are still likely to see increases as well.
The main point though is that the re-build has been achieved with a very high number of players (12) who had PL minutes in the 17/18 100 point season and have since exited including the "irreplaceable" top, top players.
Player/PL apps
Otamendi - 34
Lero Sane - 32
David Silva - 29
Sergio Aguero - 25
Danilo -23
Fabian Delph - 22
Vinny Kompany - 17
YaYa Toure - 10
Eli Mangala -9
Brahim Diaz - 5
Claudio Bravo-3
Lukas Nmecha -2
There was a chance also that Dinho would have gone by now as well albeit you imagine he will only be used sparingly in 21/22
Trust in Pep, trust in Txiki.....
