there is no way in a million years this will get rescinded. if it does, i will give £100 to charity tomorrow. We won't get equal treatment until we win the league and establish ourselves as a top side, then we will start getting these "dodgy decisions" from refs, like chelsea seem to get every week FACT!!!!

Don't speak to soon, Now I assume your not in the higher echelons of the club, if what you were saying is true, why would the club bother to appeal? To save face?

The simple answer is we don't know if it will be rescinded or not, the club think they have a case and that's good enough for me

This 100 times ... Read carefully to any pessimistic folks out there, this is what a "supporter" is.

because in my opinion it won't get rescinded, im less of a supporter? what a load of shite. i want the club to appeal, and i want the club to win. simple answer is the FA and the refs don't like looking stupid, so they won't go back on this decision.

i know, im just being defensive, im a paranoid supporter of the club, i always have been. in my eyes we are always hard done by, i suppose. is it a 4 game ban as well due to the yellow card collection?

Another thing to put out there: in every "derby" game i have seen recently whether its glasgow, liverpool, london, wherever! there are always a few tasty tackles early doors that are usually let go by the ref. Its very rare you get a red card early doors, particularly for a tackle like that. the whole thing stinks

Before he left these shores for pastures SpanishChristiano Ronaldo took under his wing Nani,he was to be taught the black arts of football, you know the ones.Acting like Mike Tyson (in his early days) had just laid into you,the clutching of the face, the triple-roll,free kick given and behold a miracle ,back up and running. The copying of Stevie Starfish (Gerrard) trick of,no matter on the pitch you are, when you fall, you must continue looking at the ref.The appeal for every considered slight, constantly moaning at the ref,all these things young Nani took to heart, till the dreaded day.Derby Day 8/1/12 ,Kompany swooped in took the ball cleanly, but you forgot, you jumped the tackle, and god-forbid chased after the ball, not once but twice. Then realising the game had stopped you turned round to see what had happened, ready to defend your corner should the ref dare to suggest that you,the great actor had done something wrong, face bemused you walk back towards the ref.The ref had blown-up for a foul on you,the great Nani and you never realised, you chased after the ball.Think,Think of the forward sumersaults you could have made,a few twists and rolls,a Klinsmann jackknife before writhing on the floor in agony. The pinnacle of your career,Ronaldo forgotten, the fans new messiah and you blew it by being honest.Chance of a lifetime gone in a flash.

I heard on Radio Manchester yesterday that Mancini had spoken to the ref and the ref had said he might have been wrong. If that is the case and this is the basis for the appeal, I can see it succeeding. After all, the manager IS allowed to speak to the ref after the game (half an hour after I think) so if those discussions were fruitful, we may be ok. So on that basis you would have to be optimistic. If that isn't the case, and Foy has stuck to his guns with Mancini, then I would suggest that the appeal is useless and the FA will ALWAYS back the ref.

Having said that, if it is the case that Foy has accepted he may have been wrong, it makes it somewhat worse when you consider that Foy has dealt with many incidents of a similar nature and done nothing (to rags) or issued a yellow at worst and then to admit being mistaken afterwards would give further credence to those suggesting he has a rag bias and has sent of Vinnie so his beloved rags have more of a chance.

By the way, the scissors kick mentioned above doesn't mean a scissors tackle, it just means another name for the bicycle or overhead kick. That used to be called a scissors kick before calling a two footed tackle with legs apart was a scissors challenge.

ESPN Arsenal v Leeds,31 min ,Leeds number 15 goes sliding in on Arseshavin, studs showing, ref 5 yards away,"play on" Arseshavin hobbles away.Justice for Vinny.

I agree with what you have said but if Foy is so much in the rags pocket, and a lot of what has been shown on here suggest that, then he will simply back-track on what he said to Bob and carry on hiding in his hole.

I didn't even realise that being a City supporter meant that I had to have 100% faith in absolutely everything that happens at the club so I certainly didn't realise that it meant I had to have blind faith in the FA disciplinary process. You learn something new every day.
