I was in the Kippax,15 years young.One of my best City days, can't believe it's nearly 30 years ago!

Stood getting drizzled on next to the chicken wire fence between the open Kippax corner and the North Stand.

Nearly didn't go, but got offered a ticket in the Main Stand at the last minute. Told my mate at half time that we definitely wouldn't score any more in the second half!

Can't believe it was 29 years ago.

I was at Portsmouth Poly; British Rail had special railfares on during November, 50% off, so I travelled back for this. I was discussing this very match at the weekend with the lads who sit with me and whether this was in our top ten of matches. We all picked it in our top 5. We just had so little to shout about in those days, think that’s why we all rate it so highly. I also went to the FA cup first match at Leeds Rd that season (the crutches) and the away league game (which I think, in true City style, we lost 1-0).

I travelled to Bournemouth fairly soon after this match, we won 2-0 and I first heard the “remember, remember when, when, City scored ten”. And City fans set fire to their main stand that night! Great days (think Paul Stewart got 2).

The FA Cup game was dreadful until John Gidman equalised in the last minute. Went fucking mental for that one, as I did for Lakey's last minute equaliser in the next round v Blackpool. Really enjoyed our cup runs that season.
