Yes, for cup games you can buy any seat available, after the 'reserve your own seat' date period there are more seats available, though the club don't usually release them all at once. You may be able to buy a seat in South stand immediately but it's possible that you will have a better choice after the reserve your seat dates.

Might be different if you're on cup direct scheme though as they will have already charged you for your EL1 seat.

Changed my seats from NS level 2 to CB level 1 today,a lovely lady from customer services put up a little bit of a fight but not much and she charged me 15 for mine and a fiver each for my kids,result saved myself about 30 quid ,god bless em.

Why because I like the view from where I sit (clb3), have become well aquainted and made friends with the people who sit near me. I am in the cup direct scheme and have had to move at least 3 times this season. We only get a choice of seats when the other season ticket holders have made their choice. Previously when I had to move sat in level 2, prices were the same, now the club are obviously trying to persuade us by price to fill level one. Furthermore because the number to ring is an o870 numer it costs more money so this will be at least five times I have had to ring. What a good scheme the Cup direct is (not). On Wednesday night the steward on our aisle in CBL3 had been given a fist full of Family stand tickets and was asked to persuade people on Level3 to move down there this 15 mins before kick off. Club obviously more concerned about the empty seats image on tv, than the inconvienence caused to their paying supporters.

That is correct. Depends if we are drawn as the "Home" team in the SF "IF" we get there. The club might use that as we're the home team, we're not doubling your points, yet.

Personally, I think it will happen at the end of the season if we go all the way.

They used it as a direct incentive with respect to getting tickets for a possible final, so I'd assume they will add the points for the FA Cup games after Reading.

I fuckin hope so, those points would push me beyond the next barrier, so I'd be more confident about getting tickets.
 
Weird thing is when i go online just to look at booking it's letting me choose my normal Colin Bell Level 3 seat...don't know wether to click through or not...might be better ringing?
