do you think MCFC have an unlimited texts bolt on for the Ticket Office mobile or are they having to pay 5p for each text they send out?

Just to clarify I have today spoken to Lisa the service and fulfilment manager who is attempting to sort out the problems caused by this.

Multiple texts is the problem - specifically people seem to have received their seat details by text more than once but this was then exacerbated by sending out a second confirmation for the Kiev game but with the text quoting Reading rather than Kiev.

They assure me that loyalty points and payments haven't been affected ie you get your points (once) and you only pay once - they are sending e-mails or letters out to everyone to finally confirm exactly which seat you all have for the Reading and Kiev games so that we hopefully don't have lots of people milling about trying to get into the wrong part of the ground and showing texts with the worng details on!

Hopefully all will then be ok.

I wondered what the hell was going on with the texts from City, they've confirmed my Reading ticket purchase 3 times now yet not confirmed my Kiev ticket!
Same texts, but i have had an e-mail confirming the Kiev tickets. Now expecting another few confirming the same thing.

Liverpool got 40.000 plus for a 6.00 pm midweek evening kick off, we are struggling to sell out a weekend FA Cup quarter final, mmmmmmmmm

Any chance of expanding on this with the point you were trying to make?
The City is ours ? The majority of Manchester supports City ? Cant see the majority of the 41000 at Anfield being out of town support at 6pm midweek. No doubt if we get to wembley the missing thousands will appear, moaning about ticket allocation etc.

Looked at the available areas left for Sunday and the 1st & 2nd tiers are just about rock solid now with 3rd tier areas being put on sale incrementally as demand requires.
Having the lower levels brim full by design will present a much better image to TV cameras than would have been the case if the club had just opened all areas and hoped for a miracle so I think they've done a good job in difficult circumstances.
I know that it's been confusing and difficult for a few and I appreciate that there is room for improvement but I still hold that the overall strategy has been the right one under the circumstances and I feel we should at least acknowledge that and give credit where it's due.

Sorry to sound so 'right on' on the subject but I thought I should put a positive post in here because the general tone seems to have been negative whereas many (the majority?) of fans take the reasonable view that the club has done a decent job of this one despite a few glitches.

My mate and someone in his office have just been given seats in Colin Bell level 3 for the Reading game,I have tried to move back to my seasoncard seat in this stand only to be told by the ticket office that this level is definately closed..........Anyone else had this problem yet???

-- Thu Mar 10, 2011 2:14 pm --

My mate and someone in his office have just been given seats in Colin Bell level 3 for the Reading game,I have tried to move back to my seasoncard seat in this stand only to be told by the ticket office that this level is definately closed..........Anyone else had this problem yet???

I can't believe that any real football supporter would give a flying fuck what it looks like on TV?? I know TV is dictating KO times but if it's starting to dictate where people can sit we may as well pack it in now!

i got about 6 texts so check bank balance just incase the fuckers
charge me 6 times to. but as of now all good

I agree this should have been a "Kids for a Quid" game.

Kids want atmosphere, that's what makes them return. City desperately need to be attracting the kids of Manchester.
