I think it has changed, but at one stage it was genuinely Sheikh Mansour that was supposed to be paying for it.I presume the Spanish Government are paying for all that?

The way things are going over here, by August we should be pretty close to most things being open. Spain haven't had it much better and IIRC there has been a new breakout in Lisbon as well. There are no grounds (pardon the pun) for this not to be held at the Etihad and at this point, it would be a complete and utter piss take if it was played anywhere else. So that's it, we're playing this at Real Madrid's training ground.

With the news that tourist returning from Spain won't have to go into quarantine expected soon. Surely by the time we face Madrid, it will be fine for them to make the trip to manchester once all players have been tested

Both teams are effectively playing away.
We have already played our away leg so we are at a disadvantage.
UEFA should take this into account in the event of the 2nd leg ending with the teams tied after both legs have been played.
(Don't hold your breath.)
Ideally first goal for us and shut up shop is the way to go.
