Peps no fool mate , he knows the rebuild is on the way. They’ve given us there all for the past 6-7 seasons.
The pride they still have for this club isn’t showing in the legs. They’re burnt out.
I’ll take a bad season fella , it happens to all the great teams.
And that’s the reality of it. We’ve been spoilt beyond our wildest dreams and we want it to continue selfishly like all supporters do.
The whole PL this season has been weird for a lot of teams.

Madrid dispose off their players who slightly drop standard i.e Ozil, Di Maria, Varane, Casemiro,
We stick to players who are well past it, Gundo, Bernie, Walker, KDB.

No sentiment in football. Best time to improve the squad is whilst your still at top not when things have imploded like they have this season.

I do try to remain positive, but can't help thinking about how ridiculous it would have sounded for anybody to say - in 1990 after that Michael Thomas goal - that Liverpool wouldn't win the title for another 20 years.

Or that after Ferguson, Reds would still be where they are in 2025.

It's all a bit scary - we'll be bringing in so many new players that there won't be any continuity, only a tiny nucleus who are just used to winning everything.

Hopefully Pep can regain his mojo and Rodders, Erling, Phil (yep, crap game tonight but he's not suddenly a bad player) can help the new lads adopt a winner's mentality.

A strong finish this season and it'll all look a lot brighter than it does right now.
