I'm not a big fan, but on this I agree. He should have gone to the corner flag at one point near the end, but I won't make that a negative.Savinho did well for the task he was given- keep ball in control and make them run back.

Just finished watching it
Refs a biased c**t
Madrid are an obnoxious club
Media have a huge bias towards Royal Madrid and dislike for us in general."Man city win at the bernabhow for only the 2nd time against a down to the bare bones madrid" is the narrative no praise nothing
That ref needs investigating, beyond corrupt how he managed that game ..
You have to be kidding?Didnt ignore it, didn't see it but could have ignored the VAR but gave the Pen.
Doku knows what he does and is brilliant at drawing a foul he was fine.
I think the ref was ok. Also, he gave us 2 pens against Madrid this year only.Just finished watching it

I did and he wasn't, we won 2-1You seriously can’t have watched that game and not thought the ref was unbelievably bent?
Absolutely agree. Unfortunately Turpin let the crowd/ occasion get to him tonight. He racked up the yellows for them at the end which probably looks good on the stats but missed obvious yellows for tactical fouls that Foden got booked for in the first 10 mins.
- Valverde lunged in on Doku, nowhere near the ball and dangerous, he played on and never went back to give the yellow.
- Asencio tactical foul on Doku, no yellow.
- Bellingham tactical foul on Doku, no yellow.
- Rudiger blatant 2nd yellow for the worst of the tactical fouls, nothing. Compare that to O'Reillys on Rodrygo and tell me that is consistent?
These yellows are so important because they then give Doku even more space.
Clement Turpin is a good ref but he was shite tonight.
Not quite. But a fantastic winWe are so so so fucking back! Statement win!
Totally agree. Followed them for over 50 years and tired of being left down, lost interest now and our lads are playing 60 or so games a season every year, which is why we look jaded at the start of a new season when almost everyone else has had a rest.Fuck England, fuck international football, I’d sooner he had the summer off
I said as much to mates as they were made. Savio looked good when he came on apart from giving it away in a dangerous position once. Reijnders did well and was fairly anonymous which when defending a lead late on is more of a positive. The one who I think did surprise me in a negative way was Marmoush. He seemed gassed after about 10 mins. Given his lack of playing time it was a little concerning but hopefully it’s just me over thinking it.I thought those three subs Pep made together was going to backfire spectacularly, and tbqh we lost our way when it happened. I could understand Foden and Erling but not Cherki he was looking a threat
There’s a weekend game also the other 3 had more energy .I thought those three subs Pep made together was going to backfire spectacularly, and tbqh we lost our way when it happened. I could understand Foden and Erling but not Cherki he was looking a threat
I didn't think he was either. He gave a too early yellow to Phil but pocket his card for both sides going forward. Until late when he started dishing them out for fun. Most of which were deserved.I did and he wasn't, we won 2-1
