Gutted is an understatement! Game was there for the taking and for 90 mins I thought we had played really well. Controlled the game, Limited there chances, Rodri, silva, walker excellent. Ref was awful ! For both teams but mainly us. I just think our legs went in the end and concentration dropped. Diaz has been out and had to play a few games on the trot and it showed. Laporte hasn't had a rest. Just hope we can lift ourselves for Sunday. I'll be twice as gutted if we loose the league now!

Wrong players off at the wrong time.

Shite across the two legs and some serious shit house performances put in by one or two

6 goals in 2 games, and played into their hands in both

Be astonished if we win the league now, and some big decisions to make it the summer

I actually agree about mentality although I would use the word resilience. I am certain that LFC are not as good as our team but they are mentally stronger and have proved it time and again. This season they managed two draws against us in matches which we dominated. That doesn't happen by accident. Klopp is a big factor for them.
It is rare for City to come from behind to win matches. I don't think City are as resilient as some of our rivals. I thought our performace at Atleti suggested we had sorted this problem but I am not so sure now.
 
If you think we can win this competition without proper striker, we shouldn’t win one ever.
They had 2 shots on target in the first leg and scored 3 goals.On the other side, for our wingers to score, there should be minimum 6 shots on target for a goal.
We can get away playing with weaker opposition, but in these competitions where margins for error are so small, we can’t constantly miss chances.
 
No complaints about anything Madrid did. They did what they had to do and took advantage of corrupt officiating.
2:51 of time added with only 1 minute played at the end after over 6 minutes of stoppages was a joke. Compare that to Atletico where they added the full 9 minutes and played 13 to give them the best chance of getting back in it.
That’s before we get to the ignored yellows for Madrid and the ridiculous yellows for us. Never seen anything so fucking blatant.
Doesn’t absolve us of blame but it leaves a bad taste.

Can't help but feel we should have known what would come, because they did it to Chelsea. Maybe Ake needed to be used to deal with the crosses that were inevitable.

A defeat that will hurt but galvanise the squad eventually.

Just six words, the story of our season. We score 25% of our missed chances this season and we'd have already won the league, probably be in the FA Cup final and be in the Champions League final.
Only one reason for this, piss poor recruitment again. Sergio hardly played two seasons ago and then left, we didn't replace when he was still here and missing games, and failed before this season started, we got away with playing with no striker two seasons ago, this season we haven't.

You know what, for this time only - i would have lost the league to win the Champions league! There i said it.

Still would have stopped them scouse twats winning 4 trophies!

And would stop this “where’s your european cup” chants every fucking game
 
End of fuckin story we deserved to win that game ,and how we dint see it out is just one of them things,stop slaggin this team they did enough,shit happens we move on,lots of lessons learnt,not one single shot on target till 90 mins ,how rearly can we moan about that,game was almost killed off from greelish 30 seconds before,its happend nothin we can do about it ,we move on
