Real Madrid (A) Post Match Thread

Feel sorry for Bernardo, after almost leaving he has been our player of the season I reckon, certainly best on ground last night. Think he thought this was his big chance , does he stay another year now, hope so

91 other clubs would swap places for our set-up in a heartbeat.

If you want certainty in football, then people need to find another hobby?

It's shocking, but hardly devastating, we lost in a European Cup semi-final away to Real Madrid.

First World problems.

Pep and the Club have worked wonders and a Fourth Premier League title in five seasons would be nothing short of phenomenal.

A lot of people are jumping the shark. We won't get better than Pep, unless we want to try and fluke a Roberto De Matteo for 12 months?

I have sensed with this competition that quite a few people now want to to win it just to shut up our detractors, but those critics will still be there, regardless.

The only thing we as fans need to concern ourselves with, is making sure we are right behind the lads over this next week and drag them over the line.
Absolutely bang on.

No time to criticize now, we need to take 3pts in London. Some players don’t deserve to play in this team, and we should make appropriate cuts when the time comes.Full support for the bald genius - go and get that prem!

The alternative last night would have been to play Ake. Do you trust him more? I don’t disagree with your premise but I don’t see us having a solution when Stones is unavailable.

Agreed, I don't trust Ake, either.

Stones is our best defender on the right and opens up that side of the pitch.

My issue is merely that Laporte should not be starting this season when Stones is available.

Dias had been poor this season, and I put it down to Pep allowing Laporte to maintain the dynamic of starting if fit.

I think a lot can be solved with full backs who can defend.

The point about the recruitment still stands though.

No striker for 2 seasons, a lb has been needed for 3, having a 37 Fernandinho as our best defensive midfielder. Not replacing Sane.

Whenever we do bring in a forward player they always need a year to come good.
