Real Madrid (A) | Post Match Thread

Great result in energy sapping conditions, I think Pep no subs as he will be rotating players out on Sunday and with 5 days rest everyone should be ok. Also if it ain’t broke why disrupt the team? Next week I hope it pisses it down and we move it faster and rip them cheating cunts apart.

Unbelievable, isn't it?

Bernie with the option to foul, Walker stones or Dias could press camavinga or Vini jr respectively,

Venomous shot, unsighted because of taken early and behind dias

No chance

Coutois let in a very similar goal

I know a lot won’t have liked the display but this is the type of game I like.

There have been times City have played attacking football and still lost in this competition.

It’ll be left to the fans to create an atmosphere to aid the lads at home.

Passing could’ve been better but I was happy with Pep’s approach. Believe in the lads. If they get through without playing sublime football, you won’t hear me complaining.

Good effort lads.

Fuck me! This is from the Guardian....

Both teams embrace each other warmly, though Carlo Ancelotti continues to lose his usual studied supercool with the referee. He’s arguing that a corner that never was led to Kevin De Bruyne’s spectacular equaliser midway through the second half … but that’s a bit of a stretch. As good as Vinicius Junior’s first-time strike was, Manchester City were the better team in the first half, then in control for most of a slightly more balanced second, and thoroughly deserved to come away with a draw at the very least. Given the pattern of the match, and with the second leg to come on home turf, they’ll be by far the happier side this evening. The reigning champions will have to put on a performance next week if they’re to keep hold of their crown; City will surely be confident of getting the job done at the Etihad and making it to Istanbul.

Someone is getting sacked in the morning!

Pep doesn’t like making subs at crucial stages of the game. I think we need to trust him now.

City fans singing “who the fuck are Man Utd” while Ferdinand trying to explain the goal. Ha ha. Brilliant
It wasn't just a crucial stage it was 30 odd degrees down there on the pitch lol.

One or two obviously forgetting what happened to us last season against Madrid in the last few minutes after late Subs.

Sure the last few minutes were filled with vomit inducing nervous anxiety.

I understand what Pep was thinking. So should other Blues.

Great result. And we know we can play much better....

Can they ?

Are they falling in line to back the Champions? If you can’t beat them…

Watched on mute and hence no influence from comms or anything.
Thought the ref was fine
Thought the match was even
Thought we were outplayed on the right side of midfield with camavinga/modric/kroos vs bernardo/rodri that caused problems all game
Hope we put mahrez or foden on out there in second game and force them back to a normal lb
Happy with a draw and move onto the second leg
I’ve tried that. Mute reduces the stress levels tenfold when you’re watching doesn’t it?!

To all the moaners in here. We just played away in an 80 degree cauldron and a hostile crowd against the current champions of Europe, and most decorated team in Europe.
Our boys run themselves into the ground being kicked to death in the process. We battled for every ball against a really strong team.
A draw away to Bayern and a draw away to Real sums up the courage and determination of our team.
Be proud of our boys and stop complaining. We are the luckiest supporters in the world. Embrace it and our team.
Amen
