Usually when Cancelo plays at LB, Walker plays RB. They have complementary skills. Cancelo plays narrow, inverted. Walker plays wide, tries to get behind defenders and cut the ball back.

If Walker doesn’t play and Zinchenko doesn’t play either left back or left wing back then we will have very little width on either flank. It would be very difficult to overload one side of the pitch. It would hugely affect our style of play.

Unless Walker plays, we’re unlikely to have much attacking contribution from our right back. We shouldn’t add to that by taking away the attacking width that Zinchenko can bring at left back.

Although I don't think Walkers gets behind defenders to cut the ball back that often. His main attribute is his physicality and ability to cover the space left in behind.

Whatever Pep decides to go with, it will obviously negate our usual style with our first choice FB's being unavailable.

If that's the case, he's either psychic, is claiming a first team player or staff member is leaking information he is claiming Pep is trying to hide to some random journalist, or it's total and utter bullshit completely made up knowing it will get him a few hits and there's no way for people to disprove it as the bullshit it is.

Isnt it possible that Walker and Stones didn’t take part in the physical part of the training session, but then joined the players when they were walking through positional stuff
