We’re getting robbedKnew his Grandad. Dick.
This sadly to say is very much a competition Madrid have come to own. They have an ability to do just enough to win. I expect this to be a relatively tight game which could end in a draw. The away leg will probably be a narrow victory for them. Football miracles do sometime happen but we need a massive one if we are to repeat the big win from 2 seasons ago. I will be happy if we claim a moral victory of some sort and avoid the kind of humiliation suffered in North London last Sunday. They are still leaders of la liga and we are even further away of the team we were the last few seasons . Has to be citys 2 best games of the season to stand a chance against them. Hopefully those idiotic mistakes at the back are gone for those important knock out games and league games ahead.
I’m so glad you put that full stop in there.Knew his Grandad. Dick.
Looking at that team we may have a chance of getting a result. Hope we don’t see Nunes, Gundo or any of the kids.Think it’s daily obvious what pep will do. His team selection against orient gave us many clues. Only question is savinho or marmoush imo.
Ederson (if fit)
Akanji
Stones
Dias
Gvardiol
Kovacic
Bernardo
Kdb
Foden
Haaland
Savinho
I can only speak for myself, but my distrust of him - in any position - began a long time before that...Nunes has become the new goto boo boy because he made a poor pass in the derby
I'm the opposite for this game.I think I am one of Bernardo's biggest fans, but without him now I think we play more direct.
It will be long balls to Doku & Savio to create something for Haaland.
With Bernardo it will be too much passing which will give Madrid time to organize.
I hope Pep does it, Sit back and defend and hit them on the counter.
If Pep keeps his same old plan, it will be embarrassing result.
The same City who four-peated and did the treble then threw away a 3 nil lead againts Feyenoord and just about managed to scrap into the play offs and are currently battling for a top five place with N'Forest and Aston Villa. The same Real Madrid who with all those galacticos only finished in the play-offs of the UCL, got beat off Espanyol who are 17th in La Liga & needed a 93rd minute penalty to beat 16th place Leganes.
Although it won't be easy, they aren't the same team that we've lost cruelly too over the last couple of seasons & hopefully the luck that has alluded us over those seasons will go our way.
No.To the mods of the forum, can you please lift the "awaiting moderation" on every post i make, so i dont need to wait 30m+ to be approved. I am posting here normaly as you can see from my posts, not trying to provoke or anything, but talk honestly and openly .
I thought it was his fault we went 1-0 down yesterday :-)Nunes has become the new goto boo boy because he made a poor pass in the derby that is almost identical to Aké at Anfield last season & almost every defender under Pep has made that mistake at some point. Akanji looks mentally & physically fatigued & although he has the ability to one game look world class & another to look absolutely awful,
I'm not sure there's much difference & Nunes probably offers more in attack, especially if Phil or Berny play on the right
