Real Madrid Home ticket details

What's all this "we're playing the biggest club in the world and the price increase is justified" shite! I go to watch our team, not the opposition. Real Madrid are an arrogant bunch, full of self importance - just ask any other Spanish fan.
you are either on a wind up or you`re pissed. you originaly moaned because city we`re charging £5 more than the other games. If you cant tell the difference in playing Real Madrid & Ajax then nothing anyone can say will ever sink in . can just see you rolling up at you`re local working mens club to see fred smith do his `turn` for £2 only to be told `its a tenner tonight, we`ve got Frank Sinatra`.......fuck that i`m off to bargain booze for a four-pack.
As for your kids just tell them you cant afford it, be the best lesson you ever give em , a lesson in life: you cant have everything you want.

Yet another argument for ground expansion
Ground expansion will NOT = cheaper tickets, this game will most likely not sell out anyway jusging by the complaints being made in this thread.

Its expensive is football these days, especially successful football at the very top, so fans have a choice, pay what's being asked or stop paying, and watch it in the pub/at home.

Only whole scale empty seats, every game, will lower prices (and also the quality of players on view), and clubs know full well that at the very top of the game, there is a corporate audience that are willing to pay, and these are the people clubs (City) are targetting.

?? I've been to virtually every home game in the last 40 years to watch City, doesn't really matter who the opposition is. I'm afraid you have little idea what being a City fan means. I'm on my first glass of Rioja by the way.

I hope there are 10000 empty seats for this game and the club realise they've got it badly wrong

there wont be though people will just accept it and say its the price we pay now. Which is ridiculous why should we just accpet it twenty/30 years ago if someone said it will cost you 45/ 50 quid to go and watch a game of football everyone would say fuck off. Now its the norm and people say thats reasonable and we have to accept it now. No we dont even in germany fans protest about a price rise ffrom a lot cheaper prices.

wheres the limit, what happens if it gets to 100 quid a game for one ticket are we just gonna accept it and say thats the price now ?
20 / 30 years ago a pint of beer was about 70 pence, if someone would of said you'll be paying £3 plus you'd of got the same reaction. You could go on and on with more or less every commodity, how much was it to get into a City match 30 years ago ? Probably less than the £3 your pint cost today.

Payed a fiver in 1988 and I thought that was expensive 24 years on its nearly 10 times more

Just to summarise to save me reading 12 pages.

6 pages are from people who think it's fucking disgusting that City are taking the piss, putting up tickets beacause they were there when we were shit and should be let in for a fiver now we're half decent.

The other 6 pages are from people saying, it's a bargain and City should be charging at least another score to watch the quality on view.

Am I close?

It is not a fiver increase it is a tenner. Family Stand v Ajax is £35, for Madrid it is £45.

I in cup scheme so get a fiver reduction but still tenner.

What gauls me is the 16-21 price is £35.

Oh yeah - even worse!!!

I take one of my son's friends with me who was 16 last month and still at school. His mum is a single parent and he pays for all the additional games over and above his season ticket himself out of his paperound money. I very much doubt he'll be going to this. Sorry state of affairs really.

I've got 2 lads, both under 16 who don't miss a home game. The wife absolutely hates City because of the amount of money she now sees going out of the already sad looking bank account.
kick her out... the money you save will pay for you and your 2 lads to go to all the aways as well!!!

Its simple, the people who are complaining are the fans that are at the start of being priced out and are concerned. Others who can afford the price believe it is fair in comparison to what others pay. Unfortunately its likely the prices will continue to rise and more people may fall into the bracket of being priced out.

Personally I'm on the borderline of still going but finding it increasingly difficult. For those who say, well don't go out for a weekend and use that money, alot of people have already made these sacrifices.

Its easy for the, i'm alright jack brigade, to criticise others but when they are in the same boat as those complaining now they may understand.

Yes, in comparison to the typical prices paid for these games city are comparative. The problems is all prices are expensive and football may be shooting itself in the foot long term.
