Stunning win. Delighted for Diaz. Ederson looks such an upgrade. To think we still have players to come in. Can't wait to see D Silva, B Silva and Mendy.

I thought he was just a little overcome to score his first city goal. A little fist pump...he was well pleased. You are right about the grins....spirit was best thing for me. Jesus early on, good run down the left, side netting, big grin and signal to team mates.......come on let's get back and do it again. I'm well pleased.
 
Woke up at 4:30, thought I'd just rest my eyes for a few minutes until KO... missed all the first half, haha. Thankfully we scored all those beauties in the second! Great win, look to be gelling well, defensive looks miles better and there seems to be genuine team spirit in the squad.
 
For those who didn't see it we played 3 at the back with Kompany, Stones and Oat. Walker as RWB and Danilo as LWB. Aguero and Baby Jesus up front. Yaya, KDB Boden in mid

First half was good. Both teams had chances. 0-0

Second half we got a goal off a corner. Otamendi tapped in a rebound from a Stones header. Then Raheem came on and took over. He was playing in a free, central creative role. Getting in between the lines. He got the second goal. Stones added a 3rd. City we dominate in this second half, especially when Madrid took their starters out. Sane came on and made an instant impact hitting the post. Diaz had a BEAUTIFUL strike for the cherry on top.

Great performance.
 
Having stayed up and Paid the £9.99 to watch instead of stream. Gotta say..Well worth it.

3-5-2 seems to have been Peps plan all along. Didn't have the players for it last season but with Danilo and Walker coming in alone just made such a difference, both always up and down the line giving another options. Really impressed by Danilo.

Stones for me looked our best defender, commanding the line and just being overall more switched on, few times there was a few mistakes but good as a whole. Ederson too making a good impression.

KDB, Sterling, Diaz all great. Noticed a lot in the first half Esp, passing through the lines, lot of the times last season Pep spoke about it but instead it was Pass round the cb's then maybe 1 forward but looked more direct first half to the st's feet / into KDB.

Feel if we do play 352 this season we will need another forward, Mbappe? Maybe this game was Pep really showing we can play 2 up front and fit everyone else in.


ALSO, really pleased for Stones feel as though he gets a lot of stick (maybe fair) but hopefully he has a good season this year, prove many wrong

Yes! The effort and work rate was amazing. You could tell the boys were up for it. Those types of performances are contagious. Hope this translates into the same type of play in the coming months.
