Zabaleta wasnt 'shit' when he came on. He came into a game where Ronaldo, being the best player on the planet, was playing extremely well and was right in the mood.

No full back on the planet would've dealt with that. Coming on as a sub is difficult as it is but to be met with that is beyond impossible.

Add to that the fact that he (and Maicon when he was at full back) had fuck all protection from either the flank or the holding midfielders and the lad was basically stood infront of a firing squad.

Some of you are clueless when it comes to the game and are diabolical in the way you treat our players in defeat.

With most of the crap written on this thread, this is the most sensible quote so far. Ronaldo has scored 150+ goals in 150 matches. We could have had a flat back 10 and he is always going to find a way through.

What I saw was a City team that restricted virtually all of Madrid's chances to speculative chances from outside the box. I saw a Madrid side clearly tactically superior and made sure we were not allowed to play our game.

It was a difficult night for all involved with City but certainly not worthy of all the kicking a lot of you are giving our players.

Thought we were lucky not to get blown away in first half.

We were lucky that Mourinho (for his own agenda of firing a rocket up a few players behinds) started with Khedira / Essien / Alonso...and not Ozil / Modric etc.

My main tactical gripe is that we were set up to defend against a team attacking us through the middle, but Madrid were simply spraying it wide to the wings where they regularly had acres of space.

Barry + Garcia needed to show more mobility + game intelligence to help out the overrun full-backs because Silva / Nasri etc were offering no protection.

Fair enough that Mancini may have been caught out by the Madrid team selection...but I thought it was obvious after 20 mins that we needed to sacrifice Nasri to bring on a higher work-rate / better defender like Milner to help combat Marcelo + Ronaldo who were regularly 2 on 1 vs Maicon.

Thought we looked a different team once Dzeko came on...+ Nastasic looked composed considering importance of game.

I, as Bosnian myself, get so pissed off with people like this KID Nocty...who fail to realize that this is a football club some people are born with and die with - where many great players have played, and many more WILL PLAY...and where not everything revolves around Edin.

It's embarassing really, but yet - I'm sure Nocty is about 10 years old and sure as hell does NOT represent an average Bosnian football fan.

Yea Edin is my favorite player too, but he is NOT second coming of Jesus. Mancini might be unfair to him in some instances - but he IS the manager, and the one who brought these fans the title after a looooong while. Edin needs to FIGHT, like he does, for his place on this team...and that's the BEST THING he can do, as playing for this team is a privilege not a God given right.

People like this piss me off just as much as those City fans forming an opinion of the group (Bosnians) based on "cases" like him.
