Really, really, really hope Ireland Stays

superman needs to stay. another season, if no improvment, then we can thinnk about selling him. now we're in 4 competitions, we need a big squad. despite what some city fans are saying, i want to go all out on all 4 fronts. that means keeping hold of players like ireland.

When on form one of the best in the prem, ditch the move for milner get ireland back playing where he wants and watch him destroy teams. He not a one season wonder, look at his technical ability hes amazing.

Watch the clips closely .

Look how many players we get in the box , we flood it .

We don't play that way anymore , unfortunately .

lreland is as good as gone .
That's right we don't play that way any more and in a team that does, he'll rapidly become the talented player he should be for us.
Selling Ireland and bringing in more defensive type players doesn't do it for me either.

What more would you like them to do, its not like irelands performences last season merits a whole lot of work from the club.

They have had a meeting where they told him they wanted him to stay, and that he was a part of the manegers plans.

Ireland was told that the only way he would be sold, was if he handed in a transfer request, not much more the club can do really.

Clueless isn't the word...

Do you still believe in Santa Claus too?

What is the true situation then? I don't claim to know what is going on but those comments don't look comparable to the naivety required for believing in father christmas tbh. But rather than calling people clueless and mocking them, I reckon it would be better to let everyone know exactly what the club have done that is so wrong with regards to Ireland. It has been mentioned in this thread that Ireland "feels" liked he is being forced out. What does that mean exactly? Is he being forced out or does he just feel that way? There is a difference. Incidentally, I think Bluefandk's comments regarding Ireland's form are entirely justifiable.

I dont think its a case of hoping mancinin is readin more stevie himself, I absolutely love the lad and wish he could just get that self belief he had last year. There were moments when he was running to a random space gambling on the ball getting there and he was getting it. Must be hard though to go from city's main man to city's bench warmer. I don't know why hughes didn't build the squad around stevie (not blaming hughes) but he should have just said stevie you saty in the exact same position with the same role and we will build it from there. He was immense and is our "Mr.City"

No but I dont believee the shit unhappy players feed me, the way you do.

If ireland wants to stay and fight for his place then fair enough, if not then he can fuck off.

Clueless?

If you got your nose out of Irelands ass long enough perhaps you could see the truth.

This comment is spot on and goes for any of our players as far as I am concerned. I'm not sure why some supporters think the academy products are in some way above this very basic premise.

I think what we all want is for Ireland to sort himself out and become a successfull Cityplayer, what nobody wants is a player on 80k a week who throws his toys out of the pram everytime things dont go his way.

Its all in irelands own hands, I hope he makes the right choice and stays, the sycophants surronding him telling him its all Citys fault, are not helpfull in this regard.
